It is with deep sadness that I announce that I am closing the doors to this beautiful travel portal, Israel Travel Secrets.

It has been a wonderful journey of discovering the beautiful country I live in, especially during those first few years of writing and building the portal, when we travelled across the country meeting local service providers.

We had the opportunity to experience incredible tours and activities ourselves, all in our pursuit of finding experiences we could confidently recommend to people planning a visit to Israel through our site.

Bruce and I met so many wonderful people along the way, all connected in some way to Israel’s tourism industry.

Since 2011, when we passionately set out to build Israel Travel Secrets, we have experienced many highs and many lows.

The recurring security challenges facing this country have often made us question whether we could keep this dream alive, while at the same time running other businesses to pay the bills.

Since October 7, 2023, it has felt like an uphill battle, and I have reached the point where I can no longer justify continuing.

I want to thank all the wonderful visitors who used Israel Travel Secrets to discover more about Israel through our own experiences, and especially those who trusted us enough to book the tours and activities we recommended through the website.

Sadly, we lost Bruce in June 2025. I know he would agree with me that the time has come to close this chapter.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey.
